Cross Sections and Branching Ratios

- The WH and ZH cross sections are from Baglio and Djouadi: arXiv:1003.4266. We have obtained from the authors an extension of Table 3 in v1 of the preprint, which exends the test mass range to 100 GeV and provides more digits. An updated version of these numbers is available via private communciation with the authors but was not included in this combination. The VBF production cross sections are computed with MCFM.
- The gg → H production cross section is calculated at NNLL in QCD and also includes two-loop electroweak effects. For details, see C. Anastasiou, R. Boughezal and F. Petriello, "Mixed QCD-electroweak corrections to Higgs boson production in gluon fusion", arXiv:0811.3458 [hep-ph] (2008). and D. de Florian and M. Grazzini, "Higgs production through gluon fusion: updated cross sections at the Tevatron and the LHC", arXiv:0901.2427v1 [hep-ph] (2009).
- We have included the scale uncertainties uncertainties in the gg → H production cross section in each jet bin separately (0, 1, and 2+ jets), and have also take the increased PDF uncerrtainty in the gg → H production cross section, both from Anastasiou, Dissertori, Grazzini, Stöckli, and Webber: arXiv:0905.3529v3 [hep-ph]
- The branching ratios are obtained from Michael Spira's HDECAY, version 3.53. You can obtain the software from Michael Spira's web site.
- Older cross sections, not used in this combination, but with a list of references, can be found in the TeV4LHC SM Tables. MCFM.

Bayesian Framework

The integrals over the uncertain parameters with their correlated priors from external constraints are done with a Markov Chain Monte Carlo integration method, using the Metropolis-Hastings algorithm.
