CDF (the Collider Detector at Fermilab) is a multi-purpose  experiment, which does an in depth study of the forces, particles, and interactions of our universe.  CDF has 800 collaborators from 62 institutions in 12 countries.

The CDF Higgs group is a team of more than a hundred CDF physicists dedicated to searching for the Higgs boson, or whatever it is that is responsible for giving fundamental particles like the electron or the top quark their masses.
