CDF Detector Operations

From September 10 2009 to March 30 2010, I served as CDF detector operations manager, responsible for day-to-day operations of the experiment.

The week November 2 - November 8 2009 (week #348), on my watch, we achieved the highest data-taking efficiency at CDF since the week of August 14 2006, and the second highest data-taking efficiency of Run II ever (i.e., efficiency of ~91% for the week).

On March 18, 2010 we experienced the highest initial luminosity ever achieved up to that day at the Tevatron: L = 384 E30 cm-2 s-1 (store 7685). Since then, Tevatron's initial luminosity record is regularly above 400 E30 cm-2 s-1.
